A little while ago I promised to share the recipe for one of my all time favorite cakes with you. However with work being as crazy as it is right now, I totally forgot. Sorry for that!! But now, finally here it is! Not only is this cake crazy delicious but also super quick and easy to make. What's better than that? Right, nothing!! So here we go!!
What you need:
250g butter
500g sugar (I usually only use half of it)
500g flour
4 eggs
1/2 bar cooking chocolate
1pack baking powder
1/2l butter milk
For the icing:
Strawberry jam
Chocolate couverture
What to do:
Whisk up the butter, sugar and the eggs, add the molten chocolate and proceed by folding in the flour and baking powder.
Two tips: First: Melt the butter before mixing it with the sugar and the eggs. Your cake will be much smoother in the end. And second: You have to fold in the flour and baking powder by hand and not with a mixer, otherwise your cake won't rise!
Spread the mixture onto a tray lined with baking paper and bake in the oven at 180°C for approx. 30 minutes.
Once the cake has cooled off, spread the jar on top and add the chocolate couverture.
Tadaaa!! Done!!
I'll warn you though... despite being so simple that even I can successfully bake it, this thing is absolutely addictive!

Yummie!! Das sieht so so so gut aus. Bloed nur, dass ich dieses Jahr mal mitfaste. 7 Wochen keine Süßigkeiten. Auch keinen Kuchen :(
